OPTION #1

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK & SURROUNDS
HALF DAY, FULL DAY & NIGHT EXCURSIONS

All one day tours are subject to availability.

Come2africa/Sithanda eAfrika Safari & Tours offers one day tours in and around Mpumalanga and the Kruger National Park for the traveller who has a limited schedule, but wishes to experience this beautiful region of South Africa.

Below is a sample of our excursions that can be completed on the one day tour.

HALF DAY EXCURSIONS

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy a Half day game viewing in the Kruger National Park known for being one of the best safari destinations in the world.

EXCURSION #1

MORNING SAFARI (Air-conditioned Microbus or open 4 x 4 vehicle)
Summer – October to March
Depart 5:00am – Return 12 noon (Approximately 7 hours)
Winter – April to September
Depart 5:30am – Return 12:30pm (Approximately 7 hours)

EXCURSION #2

AFTERNOON SAFARI (Air-conditioned Microbus or open 4 x 4 vehicle)
Summer – October to March
Depart 1:00pm – Return 5:00pm (Approximately 4 hours)
Winter – April to September
Depart 12:30pm – Return 4:30pm (Approximately 4 hours)

EXCURSION #3

PILGRIM’S REST
Visit Pilgrim’s Rest, go back in time to 1874, to the charming relic of the first South African gold rush village.
Morning Depart 8:30am – Return 12 noon (Approximately 3 1/2 hours)
Afternoon Depart 1:00pm – Return 4:30pm (Approximately 3 1/2 hours)

PANORAMA TOUR
For sheer visual splendor, the escarpment of the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga. View the spectacular Blyde River Canyon. Visit Pilgrim’s Rest, relic of the first South African gold rush.
Morning Depart 8:30am – Return 12 noon (Approximately 3 1/2 hours)
Afternoon Depart 1:00pm – Return 4:30pm (Approximately 3 1/2 hours)

ENDANGERED WILDLIFE TOUR
Go behind the scenes for a fascinating insight into the dedication and skills of animal conservationists at a rehabilitation centre and Cheetah project.
(Depart 7:30am – Return 5:00pm/Approximately 9 1/2 hours)

NIGHT SAFARI – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK (Open 4 x 4 vehicle)
Night Safari in an open 4x4 vehicle in the Kruger National Park.
(Depart 4:30pm – Return 8:30pm/Approximately 4 hours)

EXCURSION #9

SHANGANA EVENING FESTIVAL
The history of the Shangaan African Tribe is presented in song and dance.
Enjoy a traditional Dinner.
(Depart 5:00pm – 8:30pm/Approximately 3 1/2 hours)

Enjoy the awe inspiring panoramic view from the top of Table Mountain.

EXCURSION #11

Take a ferry across Table Bay to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.

EXCURSION #12

Take A cruise which brings you close up to the Cape Fur seals which abound in the harbour.

EXCURSION #13

Discover Cape Town “The Mother City” which nestles in a spectacular setting between Table Mountain and Table Bay. Visit the colourful Malay Quarters, Company Gardens, Adderley Street, St. George’s Mall and “The Castle” built in 1679 by the Dutch Settlers.
 

FULL DAY EXCURSIONS

EXCURSION #14

CAPE WINE ROUTE
Today will be spent in the Cape Winelands, you will be travelling to the historic town of Stellenbosch, cradled in the Simonsberg mountain range, is one of South Africa’s prime wine-growing areas, where vineyards have been cultivated for over three centuries. Here you will indulge your senses and taste wines of excellent reputation in charmingly quaint surroundings. You will enjoy a tour of three vineyards today.

EXCURSION #15

CAPE PENINSULA
Travel along the beautiful Atlantic and Indian ocean seaboards, the scenic Chapman's Peak. Visit Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at Cape Point, the African penguin colony and a historical naval base.

EXCURSION #16

KIRSTENBOSCH NATIONAL BOTANICAL GARDENS
and GROOT CONSTANTIA

Visit the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, these gardens are dedicated to the preservation of the indigenous plants of Southern Africa.
Continue onto Groot Constantia the oldest of the Cape Dutch homesteads, where you can wonder through the magnificent buildings dating back to 1685 and taste their superb wines.

EXCURSION #17

WILDLIFE SAFARI – WESTERN CAPE
Travel from Cape Town through scenic Du Toitskloof pass to a private game reserve. Game drive in an open 4 x 4 vehicle, where you may have the opportunity to view a variety of wildlife including giraffe, rhino, zebra and lions.
 

NIGHT EXCURSIONS

EXCURSION #18

Take a picnic basket and enjoy the sunset and the awe inspiring panoramic view from the top of Table Mountain. Watch the city lights come alive.
